Starting My DMA at Texas Tech University

After much thought and consideration, I am proud to announce that I will be starting my Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Percussion Performance degree at Texas Tech University this fall.

This decision was made after many months of thinking about where I wanted to be as an educator. What I had done so far and ultimately where I wanted to end up and continue my career. I believe getting this degree will help develop my pedagogy, my skills as a performer, my research skills, and to ultimately help me be competitive in the job market.

I would like to thank my family, colleagues. and previous professors for their guidance and recommendations towards this endeavor. I am looking forward to studying with Dr. Lisa Roger and Dr. Mike Mixtacki.
